First: Take all the cards, read the cards, go through the different doors inside the knowledge (p19) – if you need a guide, look into the “Suggestions for using the game in schools” – certainly very helpful.
By the way: Doing this first, you will learn more about how the game is played!
Secondly: You can choose how to play the game. If you are a beginner I always suggest - and a lot of testing games shows that - start with Level 1 – here you can learn how to handle global problems the world is facing in using the “Rules of the Game”.
The Adventure knows: The future needs knowledge about strategies, needs will power, cooperation and – luck and is playing first the “Global Climate Politics” Strategy – described in the “Rules of the Game”: Start in 1840, phase 1.
TIP 1: Try first to play only the “Global Climate Policy” Strategy in connection with the “Public Power Supply Net”. So you will more easily get familiar with the principles of the game.
TIP 2: After that you will be more able to play the whole Worldgame – don`t forget, it is a Worldgame! Now use all strategies!
You need 90 minutes and more, if you like.
The Strategist – ready for decisions in short time – Play:
Phase 3: Beyond the “Fireline” – you need around 20 minutes, depending on your power to come to decisions.
